Busy Busy Busy!

So I’ve been pretty busy crafting wise this month! My finishes so far:

*Temperature crochet blanket for 2016

*My first tshirt quilt (doesn’t Garth Brooks look amazing surrounded by pink lol)

*Paper pieced pattern call Melon Ice Quilt (I was so tired when this picture was taken! It was a late/early finish at a quilt retreat and you don’t get much sleep!)

I’m also so close to being finished with my paper pieced Harry Potter quilt from fandominstitches.com. I’m so in love with it 🙂

I’ve been keeping up with the temperature cross stitch and Texas has been crazy so the month of January is already off to a neat start!

Next weekend I will be going to rent some longarm time so I can completely finish the tshirt quilt and melon ice. Longarming is so much fun!

2017 Temperature Cross Stitch

So this year I have been working on a crochet temperature blanket where I assigned a color for a temperature scale and made a hexagon for the high of the day. It’s turning out so awesome but I have gotten behind and trying to catch up with all these hexagon’s is a little intimidating.

SO! Next year I still want to do a temperature project because in the end it’s still neat to see how the year panned out in colors. I decided to do a cross stitch version so I could work on it once a month and it wouldn’t take up as much time. I created a calendar pattern and a color scale using DMC thread. Now I just need 2017 to arrive in order to start! 2017-cross-stitch-calendar

Wanting To Cheat

I’ve been doing so good, it’s hard seeing everyone eat around me. It’s driving me crazy. What’s really getting me is seeing how different everyone’s diet could be before surgery. Sometimes it’s a two week liquid diet, I’ve seen people saying liquid one day before. I just don’t understand. I keep thinking that I wasted my last meals on stupid stuff. And it’s stupid to care – the whole point is to make a lifestyle change and all I want is a whole freaking pizza.

Video Journaling

Well I did a little recording kinda of just word vomit. I think I’ll try to do a weekly update in video format. Tomorrow I start the liquid diet. I’ve bought my soups and my protein. I am waiting for all my vitamins to be delivered but they’re on the way. I have psyllium tablets to take this week, they are supposed to help me feel full. Hopefully that will help with the liquid diet. My doctor didn’t give me a set goal for the liquid week. Just that the calories, sugar and carbs needs to be low. I don’t work well with that so I did some research and gave myself a set amount that I’m allowed each day. So 1500 calories, 32g of sugar and no more than 150g carbs.
